SIRENE National Events
The SIRENE national events have successfully brought together our stakeholders to exchange opinions, discuss, and gain inspiration from the Social Innovation Framework developed within the project. To date, we have organised eight national events in Spain, Portugal (two), Serbia, Italy and the Netherlands (three) gathering over 380 participants from diverse sectors, including health and social care, policy and funding, housing, and community interventions.
SIRENE’s Social Innovation Framework presented in Leiria, Portugal
On June 20th, SHINE 2Europe presented the SIRENE’s project Social Innovation Framework to a group of 27 Portuguese stakeholders, in Leiria, in the Seminar “Double Helix of Care: in the Community and in Organizations,” organized by Aproximar, a social cooperative active in this field.

Reflecting on the 6th SIRENE Science Café: Insights into Age-Friendly Cities and Communities
On June 17th, 2024, the SIRENE consortium hosted its 6th Science Café online, a session dedicated to increasing awareness about social innovation. The event, which lasted for about 30 minutes, featured an expert presentation by Joost van Hoof, professor of Urban Ageing with the Faculty of Social Work & Education at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and university professor with Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
