SIRENE Project Presents Age-Friendly Policies at ENSA General Assembly 2024

In a recent presentation at the ENSA General Assembly on January 22, 2024, ISRAA presented the SIRENE project and its objectives and outcomes, with a focus on the Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments (SHAFE) approach. The assembly, attended by social authorities from various cities and regions within the ENSA network, served as a platform to disseminate key information regarding SIRENE’s role in shaping ageing policies in Europe and beyond.

The presentation delved into the practical applications of the SHAFE approach, emphasizing its relevance to policies aimed at addressing the needs of ageing populations. Attendees gained insights into the project’s innovative solutions designed to enhance the quality of life for older individuals.

A significant part of the presentation centered around the Social Innovation Framework, outlining its contents and objectives. This framework, integral to the SIRENE project, provides a structured guide for implementing social innovation in the context of age-friendly environments.

The announcement of the SIRENE roadshow, scheduled for October 2024, was a notable highlight. The roadshow is expected to play a pivotal role in engaging stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and fostering collaboration in the field of social innovation for age-friendly communities.

The ENSA General Assembly provided a valuable opportunity for SIRENE to showcase its contributions to age-friendly policies, reaching social authorities invested in the well-being of their communities. The project’s steady progress and commitment to collaboration were evident, reflecting its potential to influence policy discussions at both local and international levels.

As SIRENE continues its mission, initiatives like the ENSA General Assembly contribute to the project’s broader dissemination efforts, facilitating meaningful dialogue and collaboration for the development of Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments.
