Policy makers

Policy makers are those who contribute to the definition of public policies (at local, regional, national or international levels), strategies, and funding programs for, e.g., urban regeneration, built environments, smart cities and communities, and integrated care. Policymakers oversee the fields of social and physical environments and can advise and promote governmental facilities and support, including funding, information and person-centred solutions for citizens. They bring together the different fields of policymaking in public authorities.

The resources below are aimed to equip policymakers with the tools and insights needed to shape effective policies for creating inclusive, eco-friendly, and smart living environments. By providing best practices and frameworks for social innovation, the materials will help policymakers integrate these concepts into strategies and funding programs, fostering more cohesive and sustainable urban development. This will enable them to better support citizens and drive forward innovations that address both social and physical environmental challenges.
