4th SIRENE Capacity Building & 5th Science Café

The SIRENE project aims to support the growth of social innovation ecosystems delivering eco-friendly and sustainable community-based services for SHAFE (Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments) implementation in Europe, by providing a workable framework for investment and the broad adoption of high-quality smart living solutions, combining the housing sector and ICT infrastructure.

SIRENE Science Cafes aim to increase awareness regarding the Social Innovation aspects. In this session we merge both Capacity Building webinar and Science Cafe bringing the best of innovation that meets business! Two prominent speakers will bring their insights stemming from EU projects management, working with entrepreneurs and SMEs and industrial players.

In the first part of the session, we will explore the concept of connecting social innovation with technical and business innovation, highlighting how their integration can drive sustainable development and improve quality of life. We will define each type of innovation, discuss their intersections, and present real-world examples of successful integrated initiatives. Key benefits, practical steps for integration, best practices, and future trends will be covered, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among communities, businesses, and technology sectors. 
In the second part of the session, we will unlock the Business-to-Government model that is designed to empower startups and SMEs with essential knowledge and tools for successful engagement in innovation procurement processes. By enabling the collaboration between public and private sectors, you will get more insights on how to leverage innovation procurement’s potential in boosting growth and competitiveness.
